For those who have never heard of Rose, Bud, Thorn, it is an activity that was first introduced to me at Camp St. Croix and has since been a part of my life. If I go to dinner with people I will very often make everyone go through their rose, bud, and thorn of the day. The ROSE represents a highlight, or something awesome that occurred. The BUD is very likely the most important as it represents something you learned or new ideas that have blossomed. The bud should be a thing or things you are looking forward to learning more about. The THORN is something that challenged you as we are challenged everyday in one way or another.
This will serve as a theme throughout much of the writing.
